Arthur
Some years ago I, with some other passengers, was called off an early morning bus and asked to give it a push start, that was nothing, Passengers here in Perth were asked to tilt a train to rescue a man trapped twixt train and platform. Why bother with heavy lifting gear........ http://www.theguardian.com/world/video/2014/aug/06/commuters-tilt-rock-train-free-trapped-man-perth-australia-video Remarkable! woodenhead
IIRC BR had a similar plan but from the inside of a carriage on the APT to save on the cost of fitting complex tilting equipment - passengers would rush from one side of the carriage to the other at the guard's command on cornering.
