RMweb Premium Steven B Posted August 14, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 14, 2014 Hi, I need up to five Arduino Micro or Nano boards for a DCC signalling project. Farnell appear to have the Micro available for about £20, the same board from Maplin is £25. However, a quick search on eBay finds loads of what I'm guessing are clones available for less than £5 including free postage from China/Hong-Kong. How good are these clones? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141363499993? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281387428322? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/390730168344? I can get all I need for the price of one "official" board bought in the UK but will I end up with a bunch of faulty or un-reliable boards? Has anone bought one of these clones they can recommend? Happy modelling. Steven B.
RMweb Premium eldavo Posted August 15, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 15, 2014 Bought several of the Chinese versions in the past and had very few problems. Any I did have were sorted by the supplier. Waton has about a dozen lurking under the boards. Cheers Dave
