SMR CHRIS
Axbapo Road Stations in the UK that were named something road were inevitably a long way from the place they claimed to serve. Hi Hesperus Yes in Australia we have a few stations like that, one that comes to mind and is still in use is "Stroud Road" quite some distance from the town of "Stroud" 8Km. Location map Photo from Stroud Community web of the station in its early years. This region is very picturesque, Rolling green hills, English country look if you can ever get close to that in Australia due to very high annual rain fall but is only a narrow corridor like this. Stroud Road is built on a curve around the hill side with a nice bridge before the station crossing a small river has goods facilities and served a sawmill at the other side of the station is a road bridge crossing the railway would make a nice location for a model railway but a bit big for a micro. SMR CHRIS
Well I guess it is just about finished added the last bits of scenic's and the photo back scene. Only need a good name the new photos may inspire. I found the photographer figure at a local train show recently and "had to have" Dose he look like someone you know.??? The back Scene was a photo I took whilst on the road. Any one know this photographer? The left end still has the opening to make the APA box layout operational with a sector plate, but for the competition I have finished the back scene right round APA Box will be on display at the Aus7 Forum at North Sydney Leagues Club 12 Abbot street Cammeray Sydney NSW. SMR CHRIS
Humpysville? And that's coming from a Ford fan! 69843 You just ruined it a 4 letter word in your post wash your mouth out :-) But great suggestion if don't get more ideas may do a combo of names. With say it ending in _ _ _ _ _ Siding, _ _ _ _ _Road or _ _ _ _ _ _Flat ?.?.??? All very Australian station name friendly. For the Non Colonials the term "Humpy" refers to the "1948 215 Holden cars FX to FJ models "termed so by the humpy shape. The farmers Ute is a Humpy Holden as 69843 Humpysville name How about "Humpy's Flat" as a contradiction in terms and relates to the flat Wheat Field. 69843
Humpy's Flat is good, although I like Falcon Road....(I'll run now!) Coming from a Ford fan, I do love the Humpies, early Monaros and the Toranas. I have a shot of 28C from Eastern Creek last year somewhere.....what a little beauty! leadie69
It looks great Chris. Looking forward to seeing it up close on Thursday. I like the sound of 'Humpy's Flat'.
sparks
Nice work! I do like the Pc1 buildings and I've just bought the RailCentral H0 version for my own APA box. Namewise, how about "Apa Creek" as in "Upper Creek" as in "up a creek with no paddle"...?
puddlejumper
Can't help with the name but the photographer has got a proper beer belly.........love it!!!

south_tyne
Hi Chris, Some top class modelling on display here, the track is great and I think the overgrown siding at the back is particularly effective. The setting makes me long for another trip down under mind!! David
Broadoak
It think is superb, it is so realistic. An excellent example of what can be done in a small space. Peter M
SMR CHRIS
Thanks all for the nice comments The loco in the last photos went into the works just after the new year and came out with new electric Headlight and marker lights the crew now have electric cab lights one on the cab Roof and the other behind the water gauge glass also while in the work shops its Turret tender was given to a NSWGR 35 class mainline passanger loco and 5235 left the works with a rare Morts Dock tender these are shorter than the standard turret tender but the loco can now use some of the smaller type of NSWGR turntables due shorter lenght of the Morts Dock tender. Sorry about the image Quality cropped from phone camera Cab lights and the fire glow/ flicker New Electric head and Marker lights lost wax castings that I fitted SMD LED's too, the marker lights also operate as red
