modelman14
Hi all. Just fitted a G`master DCC23 to an N scale Class 37 but the lights only work in one direction. I changed the direction because the loco was running the wrong way, could this be why? Can I do a re-set with an EZ command or by any other means? Thanks in advance folks..... Nigelcliffe
Exactly which lights are working when ? The answer might help answer whether its hardware wiring or a decoder issue. There are red and white lights at each end. Normally, a white at one end will also have a red showing at the other end.
modelman14
Hi..thanks for reply..... When in forward the front lights and rear markers illuminate, when the loco is put in reverse direction none of the lights illuminate? When the loco is in analogue all lights illuminate as they should. When I put a different chip in the loco all lights operate as they should. Surely a CV8 re-set will sort the chip? Cheers.... smokebox
It sounds to me like one of the decoder's lighting function outputs is faulty or there is a bad connection from the decoder to the socket.
RMweb Premium Trainshed Terry Posted September 1, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 1, 2014 I would be inclined to use or try another chip first as I had the same problem on Heljan 47 and it turned out to a faulty chip that was purchased.
