Derbys65
Hi folks, well following on from my Tim Horn baseboard thread , i have now actually got progress!. I can only do layout when health allows so do as much as i can when i can and usually overdo it lol. Anyways , a great friend of mine came yesterday and we have laid and wired around 3 lines of track and had 5 locos running too !. Its a losely based GWR layout so 40's-50's era , its basically a " Ive Built It, Run What I Like Layout " lol, hopefully have pics of progress on here this afternoon. Layout is 12'x3' , any questions fire away . Locos are RTR or ready made kits, as are wagons too, i do build stuff when my hands actually work . In progress of building an Engine shed, station and other byuildings, got an excellent signal box from steve fays dad too . Cheers everyone.

souwest
Hi there, Layout and locos look great. A very wise touch naming the loco after your wife - but her date of birth in the number is Standing Into Danger surely?
hartleymartin
Nice collection of locomotives, and a rather impressive lever-frame there!
flexible_coupling
Have you got grander plans (based on your lever frame) or are you having motorized signals as well?

hartleymartin
Peco now make kit signals. I think that they're based on GWR prototypes, but the should be a good starting point.
cromptonnut
Good start, impressive lever frame which should give hours of interest. That's an impressive signal box too. Shall follow with interest.

Derbys65
Hady Hill a long overdue update!. HI folks due to struggling health layout is sort of on hold, but managing to do small bits, scenic stuff and weathering etc.. So ive made a small diorama/photo base to practice techniques and photo stock . Enjoy the pics and any comments or criticisms welcome .
cromptonnut
I think the fence in the background of pictures 2 and 3 is a bit overscale but otherwise that's looking very good Lots of crap - but in a good way!

Derbys65
Thanks Chris, all sound fitted too , although the battered hudswell is a bit poorly, might replace it. And I wasn't sure about weathering the fowler lol
