Roco repatriates all production to Europe

A chance for Hornby to "repeat history" and make some of there Class 56's there !!!!!!!!!!!

Just hope that the wiring and bearings are a bit better on the models than the real thing.   Apparently if you wanted to get hit you went to Tinsley and mentioned Romania.

Yes, the original Romanian 56's were "rough" but how about this?

Greek railways ordered a 4000Hp diesel class from Romania about the same time as BR did, only thing was this loco was fitted with a copy of an Alco 251 engine, pushed to it's limits!

They looked good, even had class 56 bogies but they didn't last long!

Back on topic, let's hope that Roco/Fleischmann have good quality control available.

I know for a period a few years ago, some of their models were not to the usual Roco standards but they have certainly improved over this past couple of years.

Good on them, I say.
