'End of steam' era loco weathering

Whilst looking for something else, I came across some snaps of a couple of locos that I had experimented with a few years ago.

 

I used a light blow over with 'track dirt and rust' (it was a while ago and I can't remember which ones that I used!)

 

Final variations were done with various powders.

 

These were both 'old school' Hornby engines that I used as first effort practice and I flogged them both on Ebay.
