iclose
I am having problems programming Traintronics TT300 point motors. I use a Lenz set 100 and when I connect the TT300 to the programming track output as described in the manual and try to read the address of the built in decoder I get an error 2 message, this says that the decoder is not connected. 1 of the motors runs on address 1 which is the factory default another only runs 1 way and the rest only run on DC. I bought them 2nd hand so I don't know if all the addresses are the factory default. Has anyone else managed to program these motors successfully with a Lenz system. Am I missing something obvious. Nigelcliffe
Guesswork, but I imagine they fail to indicate programming because of lack of programming "ack" pulse from the device. They may still be being programmed, but you can't tell. The "In Situ Programming " method may work better for you, towards the end of the manual:http://www.traintronics.co.uk/download/manuals/TTManual-TT300Full.pdf
shibushe
Not had any trouble with these myself. I can only repeat how i do it. Its wired directly from the program out put. Once satisfied its going the right way with the address I give it, then its installed. I also use 3 other terminals to operate a 2 aspect colour light in relation to point direction. RMweb Premium melmerby Posted December 19, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 19, 2014 Had a pair of these on a double junction. Never had any trouble programming them. I did find after some use the end of travel switch wouldn't stop the motor (they are not stall type point motors) First one then another failed. Gave up and replaced them both with Tortoises.
