gwrman
Has anyone used white vinegar for cleaning 3d prints as I use it for cleaning the release agent off white metal castings and I wondered if it did the same job on for that. Nigel
Quarryscapes
Give it a go, but I doubt it'll do anything. Incidentally I just tried Windolene, and that didn't do anything. As far as I can see your only hope is a detergent or a spirit based product to remove the oily film.
billbedford
It would help if you told us exactly what sort of '3D print' you are dealing with. Some, for instance, use a support material that resolves in a weak alkaline solution.
gwrman
I've bought a set of Modern Image Models MRA side-tipping Ballast wagons and wanted to prep for paint, I saw the use of white spirit but I wondered about white vinegar which is acetic acid. 3rdboxcar
We need to know what material you are trying to clean. If you bought from Shapeways FD / FUD - I use non acetone nail varnish remover. WSF - requires no clean up, just a brush to remove any loose powder. Detail plastic - is what it is and will always be the surface it is delivered in.
