Pete Harvey
Is there a list or a way to identify which 37's had cast "Timken" Axle Box Covers fitted? Any help appreciated. Pete
Titan
I thought they all did? Have you found an example of one without? There cannot be many, if any at all. And if there is they would probably get swapped around during overhaul in any case. I think the best guide is to check out a photo of the loco you intend to model, at around the date you intend modelling it. If you can't tell from the picture then it will almost certainly be cast Timken covers anyway.
Pugsley
I think they all did as well, although something in the back of my mind tells me that I have seen one that was different. It was only one though, so it's either very rare, or I've made it up.
D6775
Pretty sure they are all the same Pete, don't recall seeing any different to Timken ones. Hopefully this may be of some use to you whatever you're upto!!
