Brian
They are 3mm Banana or Wander plugs/sockets. About the only place I know of now that sell them are ebay suppliers from China... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-Pcs-3mm-Audio-Speaker-Wire-Cable-Connector-Adapter-Screw-Banana-Plug-Red-Blue-/251785338160?pt=UK_Sound_Vision_Audio_Cable_Terminations&hash=item3a9f935d30
cliff park
Coincidentally literally 2 days ago I got my old H&M Safety Minor out of the loft to use as quick source for testing. The rubber was a bit perished so I put a new mains lead on, checked it all out and changed the sockets to 4mm. They fit very well in the holes where the old paxolin strip was. I also changed the screw connectors ( the 12v controlled) for 4mm and mounted these in two holes near the top on the back. I think these were ventilation holes, but that isn't really a problem. The front of the case is held on with screws, so it comes apart easily, and inside it's built like a Rolls Royce.
