retroman Posted February 25, 2015 Share Posted February 25, 2015 I recently acquired a Bachamnn Class 44 No 44005 CROSS FELL at a bargain price from a local dealer. The loco was originally supplied with DCC Sound fitted RTR, but the dealer removed the chip & speaker for another project. This should be easier than retro-fitting a DCC sound chip into my existing class 45s, as the 44 has a recess in the chassis for a speaker directly under the fan vent, unlike the 45s.
