steveb860
I wasn't aware there was a speaker in a Dynamis handset!!!!. However, if you go onto customer support on Bachmann's website, you can download the user manual.
Stevelewis
Do You mean you wish to increase the Volume of a sound equipped loco?? If so you need to do this using a CV which will be specific to the sound decoder being used, this CV can usually be found within the decoder instructions supplied with the decoder or loco (if it was a factory fitted sound decoder) As far as I am aware the actual DYNAMIS does not have a speaker. If it does I have never found it!
jimikelly
I beg your pardon guys ,I was referring to increase the volume on a Bachmann class 24 which came to me with no instructions via a Bachmann Dynamis handset
johnb
You first need to ascertain what decoder is in the loco, then go to the relevant decoder webpage to locate the instructions as to which CV to change. If it's a Bachmann factory fitted sound loco then the decoder instructions for that loco can be found on the Bachmann webpage. You will need to set the sound level on the decoder by altering the relevant CV. As far as I know there is not a simple volume control equivalent on the Dynamis or indeed any other DCC controller. The decoder manufacturers ID number is to be found in CV8. The NMRA webpage www.nmra.org has a table of ID nos to manufacturer. John
