RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted February 13, 2010 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 13, 2010 Elsewhere on the forum a reference has cropped up to the BT Film 'Snow' made in 1963 - Martin Wynne provided some excellent links. Now I have long known that there are some old 'stock' shots in this film - the one from 'Snow At Bleath Gill' is very obvious as are the shots of 'Barbados' (I'm not sure what they came from) but just having yet another highly enjoyable look at the film I noticed something else - which I had already recognised as old shots without latching on to what it was, and it is truly in the 'rare' category. Has anybody else noticed it and do they too know what it is (I have just done a careful check against photos so I definitely know what it is ). Martin. That was indeed it Martin - they are clearly a bit 'odd' if you are watching carefully - for the obvious reason and I would have thought you'd have spotted them. I just wondered if anyone else had? There are some other stock shots in there as well I think including one bit (twice) of the unmentionable blue & white train (although none of the running shots of it as far as I could see). Michael Delamar
strange theres a shot of a double header in scotland, its from one of the btf come to scotland holiday films, but its in colour on the original and black and white in this. love this film, does anyone know any of the locations, such as from the cab, the end of a freight train passing overhead Mike
RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted February 13, 2010 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 13, 2010 One of my favourite bits in that film was the shot of the S&D goods passing over the W.R. main line at Oldfield Park...

I have noticed that photographers often wait for one to get in the way before taking a picture of the track. Martin.
