RMweb Premium kevinlms Posted April 6, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 6, 2015 To improve network efficiency and economy, DfT has issued a directive that all DMUs manufactured after 2018 must be equipped with traction tyres on one wheel of all driven axles. NR spokesman Avril Fuelly has released the following statement: "NR is delighted that DfT has finally adopted our recommendation. All this rail head treatment malarkey is costing us a blinking fortune. It's high time the operators got their act together and figured out how to make their trains go!" Will train drivers be issued with a large tube of 'Bullfrog Snot', for if the traction tyre comes loose, whilst out on the road?
