Publication of the Berwick to St. Boswells via Kelso album today (23rd May 2015) is the second covering the two Border towns which were linked by lines on both the north and south sides of the River Tweed. This volume follows the southern route via Tweedmouth, Coldstream and Kelso. It also covers the Jedburgh Branch which left the line at Roxburgh and the extensive rail network at Charlesfield Armaments depot which was established during World War Two.

Authors Roger Darsley and Dennis Lovett completed their first book covering the northern route between St. Boswells and Berwick-upon-Tweed via Duns in 2013.

Each album provides pictures, maps and historical information of stations and other facilities and follows the successful format which has resulted in over 500 albums

being published since 1981.

This is the seventh album covering railways in the Borders by the authors which have covered the lines between Carlisle - Hawick, Hexham - Hawick, Hawick - Galashiels, Galashiels – Edinburgh and Berwick - Drem as well as the connecting branch lines on each route.

The 96 page Berwick to St. Boswells via Kelso album is available from bookshops for £18.95 or direct from Middleton Press (post free) and contains 120 pictures, maps and historical information. Further information can be found on the Middleton Press website at www.middletonpress.co.uk
