Chrisr40
Hello - just impulse purchased the double pack Bachmann Intermodal wagons with the Hyundai containers - and as I opened them a bag of bits plopped out that Im guessing are to secure the containers etc. I have absolutely no idea how to fit them or where they go so is there anyone who would be kind enough to post a picture of them fitted to the wagons ? I would be very grateful indeed for your help Best Regards Chris

SRman
I found the best way to position the "yellow things" was to plug them into a container and position that over the wagon to see where they would plug in. The positions will vary, of course, depending on what size containers you are using.

Glorious NSE
There should be a spigot either in use or stowed on each group of pockets on the wagon, in some places there are two - see the pics for details - so it's worth "filling in the blanks" for visual reasons even once you've got the boxes mounted. Here's a pic of one of the locations with two spigots, one "stowed" and one ready for use - being picky for a sec they are spigots not twistlocks . More pics: http://ukrailrollingstock.fotopic.net/c1637457.html Oh BTW - If any of your containers are Bachmann "45s" then they should really be loaded from the 40' posts not from the outer corners like the model is set up for, you'll need to drill a hole in the bottom of the posts on the box to do that though. Chrisr40
thanks for the pic - its surprised me that Bachmann dont have even basic diagrams in the box of where the bits fit - for twits like me many thanks again to all who have offered their help thanks Chris
66540Ruby
I find a good tip is, the 2 grey diamond shapes go in the sides on 45's (although not all containers have them) after you have fitted the 4 door locking bars, turn the container upside down and place it's roof on your bench/table, fit the four yellow spigots in the corners (as said above, on 45's these should realy be at 40 foot points to be proto-typical) Then place the wagon onto the spigots once you have decided which points to use, press it home and turn over. The benefit of this method is, if you get the position slightly out, you wont bend the chassis this way which you can if you get it wrong fitting the container the right way up. It's actually easier to do than describe. good luck.
