giz
These were discussed on the old forum but it is out of action currently. The two coaches were for use with the high speed track recording coach (http://www.departmentals.com/photo/999550a): http://www.departmentals.com/photo/977337a http://www.departmentals.com/photo/977338a and also this generator coach was included: http://www.departmentals.com/photo/977335b You should be able to work out the formation as the four photos were taken together. giz
Further information from 'British Rail Mark 2 Coaches' by Michael Harris: 977337 was formerly BSO 9395 and 977338 was BSO 9387. Both were early Mark 2 coaches that were converted to air (disc) brakes for use on the Glasgow/Edinburgh push pull services and withdrawn and converted for departmental use in 1987.
