  1. Yes Ive been to the show at Houten and also been to a decent one in The Hague at De Brookfabriek. We flew to Friedrichshafen via Frankfurt. It was really convenient with about one and a half hour transfer time. It was actually cheaper to fly to Friedrickshafen with the transfer rather than just to Frankfurt. (Using the same flight from Manchester) Ive travelled on the Schwebebahn and its very interesting and you certainly get to see Wuppertal from a different view point. Its actually a lot longer than i anticipated so didnt get to do the the full length.
  2. Evening, I also went this year, first time since 2019. I was a little disappointed though I had looked at the hall plan and seen that hall7 had about a quarter of its area taken over by Lego (and rug rats) and some of my favorite traders would be absent. I model N gauge and previously there were three traders that specialized, almost exclusively in my scale. Layouts were also a little underwhelming thought the French HO one was, as you say the pick of the bunch though the O gauge one was also good. Funnily enough one of my favorites was the Nm9 layout on the Noch trade stand which you photographed. My wife and I flew to Bonn/Koln airport on Friday morning and spent the day in Koln and then went to our hotel in Dortmund which we’ve used several times is very close to the main station and is at the end of the main shopping street. (Useful for when I disappear to the exhibition.) We flew back on Monday evening after rather a hectic and tiring weekend. In the past I’ve visited several exhibitions in Germany and Holland and Intermodelbau was my favorite and one I’d rather not miss. Now I’m not so sure, I went to an exhibition in Friedrichafen in November and enjoyed that. I’ve been to Eurospoor in Utrecht quite a few times but I think that may have finished now which is a shame. Robert Weather in Köln , terrible, Dortmund and Monday, pleasant.
  3. I’ma ready for anything!
  4. Not sure if court case is going well, looks like the sh!t’s hit the fan!
  5. Thanks for that. I think there’s a music shop in Meadowhall.
  6. Had all that while taking Syd and Hovis out!
  7. Sorry can’t help with the dismantling but what do you use for replacement springs? (or can you buy replacements?)
  8. I know all about it. Not moved under its own power for about 8 years. Last time I drove it was from having a major service (costing approximately 4 noisey Deltics) and the day after I lost my driving license. Pah and double turdy curses. When I retire……..
  9. A well known fact, Bentley's are for those who like to drive, Rolls Royces are for those who like to be driven.
  10. I’m expecting nightmares tonight that’s if I even get to sleep!
  11. been looking for a second hand motor home. Think this one may be a bit too secondhand!
  12. When we went across to the old lady yesterday she was showing us her new air fryer. She was so excited about it, me, not so much.
  13. I know all about it sitting in the passenger seat. Having a ride on helps! Not live steam or 5” gauge but I do have plans for post retirement! I did have a permanent layout at my first house but just as it got completed we moved house. That’s 20years ago.
  14. Evening All, Did manage a bit of the G word even if I only managed to cut the green stuff. Nothing else to report so good night.
