  1. Thanks gents, much appreciated. John
  2. Bit of a long shot but I'm trying to find a possible identity for the Clayton closest to the camera in the photo below (posted with permission) as I want to model the train in question. For some context, the photo was taken in 1966 at South Pelaw Junction on the Tyne Dock to Consett line in 1966. The local shed, Gateshead, had a number of Claytons allocated to it at that time so I'm assuming (possibly incorrectly) that it is highly likely that the loco is one of Gateshead's allocation. Problem is that, as is clear from the photo, the loco has snowploughs fitted and whilst a Google search returns photos of pretty much all of the Gateshead locos around the North East at the time, none of them show the ploughs fitted. The locos assigned to Gateshead at the time were D8588 - D8605 inclusive. John
  3. and we were very happy to be invited with South Pelaw, we had a great weekend.
  4. Thanks, it could have been me! You may already know this but, when I spoke to Phil at York, he is thinking of doing a twin set of Tyne Dock 24s with all the pipes, tanks etc. already fitted.
  5. A couple of short videos of the layout from a very enjoyable weekend at York: John
  6. That's the actual signal arm from one of the signals that we have on the layout, kindly lent to us for display.
  7. My favourite layout of the show (other than the one I was there with 😁 ) was one that is not in a scale I'm interested in, not a time period I have any interest in and not a location I have any interest in but I think it, Sherton Abbas, is absolutely stunning.
  8. I am but it might take longer than that 😁
  9. Cheers Porcy, no need for me to use them then...
  10. One thing to bear in mind that the Smith 3 links aren't to scale, they are larger than they should be...
  11. I've been adding parts from the detailing pack to one of my 37s today but I have no idea where the four small parts at the bottom of the photo below are supposed to go?
  12. She's starting to look like a Mach 1 Attack Helicopter...
