* Please note, as is the nature of running a heritage railway where things have a habbit of breaking when you least want them to break,, if operational issues occur, we reserve the right to alter, suspend services, or amend rostered locomotives and timetable at any time.

Nottingham Area Bus Society (NABS):
Seeing as we are utalising the Bus Building (extensive level surface) for housing some of our layouts, some of the bus exhibits will be moved outside. The collection will be available for static outdoor viewing adjacent to the miniature railway.

Yet another one to spell Hawthorn Dene wrong.

Should just have called it Fred.......

My layout doesn't have a name yet. Thanks for the suggestion, Fred it is  :sungum:

Have edited the name to loose the E - predictive text always changing stuff.

Just to confirm what has been mentioned above, Ruddington Model Railway Club will have in operation: 'Ruddington' (4mm Scale OO gauge), 'Millhouse Lane' (7mm Scale O gauge), 'Barry's Island' (7MM Scale O gauge outdoor circuit) and 'Thomas Island' (4mm Scale OO gauge Children's Layout)

We will also be showing off our building extension which is finished internally and just awaiting the new layouts building. We're hoping to house a couple of members layouts in here for the event depending on staffing numbers.

We'll have the gazebo up outside with out sales stall inside selling a large amount of second hand members and club stock along with a small quantity of new sales stock kindly provided by the 47401 Project / 13809 LMS 7F Group.

Final update of the list of Exhibitors and Traders for the show has just been done, which is just 3 weeks away. How time flys!

Online booking is looking good, and tickets are available up to midnight the day before.

Looks like theres an issue with the photobucket account displaying the show photos - i'll try to get this rectified soon.

Have sorted the photographs above, but in the process unable to display layouts that are visiting. In other news, I now have confirmation that Diesel loco 33035 will also be out running trains on the Saturday only.

Tickets are available online as an e-ticket (print at home or mobile version) until midnight the night before the show, and will be availablle to purchase on the day or onboard the train if you are joining at Rushcliffe Halt.

Carparking will be available free of charge.

For those coming on public transport, On the Sunday you can now access us direct from Nottingham with the Nottingham City Transport 10C service which drops you off just around the corner from our entrance. Kinch bus from Loughborough Rail Station can drop you off at 'Ruddington Mere Way Business Park' and from there it is a short walk. (Nottingham bus). Please check on the relevant bus operators website for bus running information before travelling.

Exhibitors:
- Andersomefell - 00 Scale
- Apagele - N Gauge

- Apagele - N Gauge

(etc...)

Apagele must be hot stuff - so good they had to name it twice, or two builds to double our chances of a good view?

Can't wait!

It is with regret that due to illness, the 00 Gauge layout Camel Quay will no longer be exhibiting with us. A replacement was sourced, however in the last few minutes they have had to pull out due to a family concern.

If anyone has a layout they could provide, please drop me a PM or email on kiele.baldwin@gcrn.co.uk

Tickets are still available until midnight before each day of the show. If online sales are anything to go by, Sunday will be busy!

I visited on Sunday, with my five year old daughter in tow. A decent selection of layouts across the two sheds with Ashbourne Midland being one of my favourites. There was a few trade stands, all selling second hand stuff. As with last year's event the lack of new stuff was a bit disappointing. We enjoyed a ride on the miniature railway and also on the 11am main line service behind the 8F - although there did not seem to be any obvious buffet service on the train which was a shame. Despite those couple of niggles, I enjoyed the show. Probably the best layout line up of recent years.

There were 3 stands selling new stuff, the MRC and 2 other traders who said to have had double booked and disappeared on the Sunday to a toy / train fair somewhere.

The MK1 RMB is currently out of action pending repairs, so unfortunately this issue graces all services using the vacuum coaching stock. The air braked set is unaffected.

Glad you enjoyed the layouts, which is the most important part imho.

The "double booking" aspect happened last year as well meaning only second hand stuff was available on the Sunday. But I am not going to criticise what was a very enjoyable show. In terms of the buffet facilities on the steam train I seem to recall a trolley was used last year (although I may be mistaken). However we were able to get refreshments from the station buffet on our return to Ruddington. Very good value too. Credit to the people in the buffet who worked so hard, never seeming to stop and maintaining good humour even in the face of the small minority of people who seemed to lack any kind of manners! There was loads to see and it produced a very enjoyable event. Credit to the organisers who assembled a great collection of layouts which, as you say, is the most important part.
