Phil Traxson
Well done Phil........or are you another local.???? Yes, I've lived in and around Burton and Derby for 60 years and I'm a friend of Mikes. I saw my first "Clayton" on test at Willington before they were announced in the railway press! Phil T. I have been driving past recently, quite often, and thought what a good quiz question it might be..........but then I didnt make account for flippin locals. I remember them in the early 60's too.......as a young 13 year old, going past the plant on the train to derby, off spotting somewhere when I was living in Crewe. Always used to see one outside the plant. As a coincidence, my Heljan Clayton packed in yesterday....just stopped.........very prototypical i suppose.??
