hmrspaul
Dear all I am surprised that there doesn't seem to have been any comment about the two SR Borail kits recently introduced by Cambrian Models. I don't model 4mm and have not seen them but they appear to be nice models on their website http://cambrianmodels.co.uk/srwagons.html#srbor103 They are diag 1598 and 1599. Although these wagons were largely confined to the Southern Region, when that region went fully vacuum braked a number of the wagons were released for use in other areas. My photo collection has a number of them off the SR, and also use as a crane runner. Painting is interesting as some were in the various engineers liveries, but others seem to have been in revenue livery. Lyddrail
Paul, I was waiting for these to be released, and ordered a pair a few days ago, but not received yet. I want to model the internal users from PADs such as Ashford. I checked my pics to see what I could do but your pics are most helpful as I was not sure any with cast bogies lasted as long. Thanks. Cheers.
RMweb Gold Graham_Muz Posted November 4, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 4, 2012 Thanks for the heads up Paul as I hadn't noticed these had been released. I purchased a couple of these from H&A Models at Wycrail yesterday and am looking forward to adding them to one of my engineers department rakes on Fisherton Sarum.
