The Risborough & District MRC acquired Geoff Williams iconic EM model of Aylesbury (High Street) a few years back to save it from going into a skip. for a number of years it has been stored at a members home but in the last year it has been transferred to our club room where it currently being restored to working order. The aim is to conserve rather than change or make additions. It was never designed to be an exhibition layout but will be on show at Risex exhibition in Princes Risborough on the 21st February.

The layout is being converted to DCC as the mass of wires and where they went was not an easy task when the layout was sawed to remove it from it's loft home.

A photo I took on my phone last might showing the length of the layout.

Most of the layout now works on DCC and trains will be running there are quite a few jobs to do including supporting what to support the layout on, tables are not the best option!

The gasometer is sitting on a table rather than the gas works board so that's why its on the tilt!

The layout will be at Risex in Risborough this Feburary and Railex in 2016, It is not an exhibition layout and other than these two shows is unlikely to be shown again.
