  1. Bescot TV, approached a young director and asked him to give his own unique take on Pendeford Yard Today. Steve Harrison, a young edgy director from Lancing, Sussex, took up the challenge and what follows is Steve's unique view of Pendeford Yard.
  2. I've got 4 Heljan 47's, I know some people call them "tubby duffs" but I love em to bits and they can haul some heavy trains round my layout.
  3. lovely layout Scott, I think this ones a keeper mate.
  4. Some great progress Andi and nice to see the Sectorisation period, I'm a fan myself. Speaking of being a fan, I love Heljans 47, the sheer weight of it and the interchangeability of the parts make it a favorite of mine.
  5. Andi, these are what I use http://www.gaugemaster.com/item_details.asp?code=VN4187&style=&strType=&Mcode=Viessmann+4187 , I use them with 0.5mm brass wire.
  6. Welcome aboard Mike, thanks for taking the time to peruse my thread. As for the OHLE it's not that hard once you've got a few basics worked out, it's all made from Evergreen plastic I beams and .5mm brass wire with insulators from Veismann.
  7. I've still got signals in the pipeline, BigT has kindly pointed me in the direction of a chap who does 3d printing.
  8. Not really Andi, I'm enjoying how it's transforming the look of the layout too much and as they say "slow and steady wins the race"
  9. Well my work on my homemade OHLE continues at a steady pace. 10. Don't worry I'm still here, I just post more over on FB . The latest Pendeford Yard today is here
  11. Nice addition to the fleet Andi
  12. As soon as I got the email from Kernows yesterday, i ordered 2 of them.
  13. Exciting to see "Exford" returning in some form Ian.
  14. My home made OHLE Gantries are slowly appearing on Pendeford Yard more Gantries by Simon Barnes, on Flickr 3 in place now by Simon Barnes, on Flickr
  15. The grey, believe it or not is Halfords Grey Primer. I did have the correct Railfreight grey but upon seeing how close the primer was to "faded grey" I thought I'd keep it like that.
  16. Update, two new wagons for the layout. A VBA and BDA were acquired for a bargain price over on theifbay, I then thought what I could do with these. The VBA would be repainted into Railfreight Red and Grey livery, the BDA would be converted into a BTA that I'd spied on the front cover of my "BR Air Braked Wagons" book. 17. I have been busy this last few days but to be honest I generally post more frequent posts over on my FB page, I'll have to do one big update for RMWeb.
  18. Thanks to Andy for letting me update you on developments. I'm happy to report that I have received my stock, the two wagons had been resprayed and were in great condition, unfortunately the Class 37 hadn't been resprayed as triple grey 37 688 despite being sent a photograph of a 37 resprayed as requested by Jon, which presumably must have been of someone else's loco. Nevertheless, my donor loco has been returned in original condition. I've been refunded the £50 I'd paid for the wagon hoods and the £100 I paid for the 37 respray which didn't happen, so all my money has been returned. Jon has requested forcefully that I remove all postings on here and my Pendeford Yard Facebook page but I prefer to factually update the posts and let them stay. Everything posted is factual, and I will not be passing any opinions and request others refrain from publicly doing likewise. In fact I have no problem with the work that he has carried out, it has been good and it is a shame things have got to this unpleasant situation for all concerned. I would like to re-iterate my thanks to Andy for allowing me to share this experience and for the support received from fellow forum members. It is a shame it has taken this to get a resolution to my problems which could have been sorted much more quickly and less stressfully for everyone concerned much sooner, but we have now drawn this unfortunate dispute to a conclusion.
  19. cracking work BigT, the lights really do ad another dimension to your layout
  20. Fantastic layout with some clever scenic work, well done.
  21. To some extent I'd agree with you but when the chap in question has time to attend the Severn Valley Diesel gala in May (he has pictures on Flickr to prove it) I do ask why he couldn't stop at his local Post Office to drop of my stock. I checked, his nearest Post Office by car is 1.8 miles away and as I said I had offered more than once to pay (bearing in mind I'd already given him £4 to cover postage) Hermes to collect the package from his front door.
  22. Sorry to hear this Baz, it's very disappointing to hear that I'm not the only one to fall victim to Jon. His current username on FB is Jon Dogg Gavin.
  23. I'm sorry but I agree with Benny Boy, your title says "New Models Dapol Class 86 AC Electric". Nowhere does it say "retooled or N Gauge", so I too came into this thread excited at the prospect of a New 00 Gauge Class 86. Imagine my disappointment......
