  1. Tell Me It's Not True (from "Blood Brothers")
  2. Good morning, any who might be awake at stupid o'clock! Just when I thought I was nearly over the Shingles, I now have a horrid head cold! Can't remember the last time I had one. TIB very welcome! Hope all ER's are well and have a good day!
  3. Thanks, guys, for your interest. Yes, I have three roles: Motorist Monica (posh!), Gypsy and a weasel. All are small enough to give me time to make the tea (and wash up!) It's the Alan Bennett version so good fun especially as the Director is enthusiastic and the cast a lively bunch.
  4. Good morning, everyone! Clear skies here but too dark to tell how the day will be. I'm attending a conference today on "The Future of the Arts in Torbay" then a rehearsal this evening for "The Wind in the Willows". Well, they do say the devil finds work for idle hands!! Have a good day, wherever you are.
  5. I know that feeling well just lately and it's not cured by TIB. Dark morns don't help but, for me today, it's not unconnected with the imbibing enjoyed in the theatre bar last night! Enjoy whatever you're doing!
  6. In Staffs we had our flu jabs free from our Surgery, but here in Devon, they're only free for over 65's. Anyone looking to buy a jab should consider Superdrug. For the second year running we were able to walk into the Torquay branch and receive the jab immediately from the pharmacist at a cost of £9.95 each. And it was a Saturday!
  7. Reassuring news, Ian! Not often that one is told to gain weight, especially in our age group! Good idea to wait a few days before subjecting your system to the 'flu jab.
  8. Little to report here except for the usual Monday morning pleasure of hearing sound of traffic as people head for work when I no longer do! Fine with light breeze so far. Have a good one, everyone!
  9. When our children were young, our dog was good at eating up the unwanted veg - often the token sprout on our son's plate which he would sneak to her under the table!! She also had the 'benefit' of daily vitamin tablets for a month after I'd inadvertently bought a brand disliked by the children.
  10. A clear morning again here so perhaps another sunny day to follow. Two stints doing Front of House for our local am dram (TOADS at The Little Theatre, Torquay) has left me tired. Reasonably sized, very appreciative audience for "Dangerous Obsession" by N. J. Crisp. Not bad, considering the Box Office 'phone isn't working and won't be fixed until Tues., halfway through the run! Well done, Talk, Talk for living up to your name! Enjoy your "day of rest"!
  11. Some time this afternoon then!
  12. Half an hour left on your shift, Dave? Many moons ago, I worked for someone with a VPL. Not a good look on a slightly plump male! And good morning to anyone else who is awake stupidly early this morning!
  13. Sad to hear of the worst kind of trip to the vets, Richard. Bet she had a happy life and you will have some good memories of her.
  14. I used to hate the way the job encroached on weekends. The only time I ever felt I had caught up was the day before the Autumn Term began. Within hours I was back to square one! Enjoy "Oliver!"! One of my favourite shows.
  15. Good morning to you all! And at last it is a good one, now that the fog has lifted and the sky looks clear. Beautiful cloud colours at sunset last night. Enjoy whatever you do today!
  16. Good try, Don, but your post is third in appearing! And good morning to you!
  17. And I'm second! Good morning! In a previous life I used regularly to hear: "First the worst; second the best; Third the one with the hairy chest!" Better hope that no one slips their post in ahead of mine!
  18. Sign of a good teacher - attempting to instill in her charges the diminishing art of the thank you letter!
  19. Good morning to those who are awake! Another foggy one here! Hope it's a good day for you all. Shingles is shifting and I'm able to go out now without becoming too tired. Anti viral tablets seem to have helped.
  20. That's brave of you! You'll probably spend a lot of time threading needles and undoing knots! Happy stitching! Foggy again here! At least that makes the work traffic slower and muffles the sound so a later wake up this morning! Have a good day, everyone! (apologies for overdosing on exclamation marks)
