Just back from a much-deserved holiday hence the delay in reply. A good number of titles and projects had to be delayed as Strathwood absorbed Irwell Press and began trade wholesale distribution for over a dozen other railway publishers from our Bedford warehouse all in the same early months of this year, so apologies for the delays. On the good news front all of this expansion has gone well, and we are back to work on completing all the stalled projects once again and a host of new ones too. The six colour hydraulics albums will most likely drip into the market one a month starting very soon, each will be 96 pages all new material in landscape format, most likely at £22.95 each. In addition, we have a huge colour work using different material dealing in depth solely with the Westerns likely to be over 400 pages when we finally sign it off! Southern Steam Days Remembered V and Western Steam Days Remembered IV along with Sixties Diesel & Electric Days Remembered VIII will head off soon as well. A follow-up to Edward Thompson Wartime CME more as a prequel on Sir Nigel Gresley is almost ready for print from Simon Martin, another weighty tome packed with fresh material to the tune of 464 pages is just being type set. Michael Welch has put together a great selection of black & white photographs for a Scottish Steam album. Keeping the respected Irwell Book of series going we are almost complete on the BR Standard Class 4MT Tanks, similar volumes will follow on the other 4MT 4-6-0s and 2-6-0s and the Class 3MT and 2MT tanks. Add to this we will follow up the Joy of the Jinties with similar volumes on the Fowler Class 4Fs, all with the same research teams etc. In addition, another colour album on BR Standards is almost complete too from the Irwell stable, and the much awaited third volume on the Southern's Main Line to Weymouth is almost complete from George Reeve. The Celebration series from Irwell will also have another new title in time for Santa's sack. Likewise, follow ups to the Strathwood Steam's Lament London Midland Engines Sheds titles we released will see the ER, NER, ScR, SR get the same treatment this year and the WR early in 2024. Oh, and we have Steam's Lament on the Great Central and the S&D in the mix too... That should keep us busy a while. Meanwhile a quick glance through the stock control system this morning suggests several titles are just about sold out, so rather than looking at any reprints we will concentrate on lots of new material instead, watch out for a new list of titles for last call coming soon.
