  1. HI All, Well it's been a fair few years since I tried to start a layout project of St Johns Junction. Due to moving home etc it's taken until now to get myself a space I can work with again. So with that I need a little help in deciding what I'm going to model. I love the infrastructure, Network Rail yellow stuff, however with this having to be End-to-End I'm thinking terminus station. From the pictures I've added you can see I have a 20ft length and 6 ft end width thats also 4th wide to accommodate the helix. This will undoubtedly allow for limited operation but varied locos and rolling stock to be brought up from the lower fiddle yard area. I'm currently playing with the layout in getting the fiddle yard right to make sure I have facilities to move any loco to any part of the layout. So any thoughts on how the 'Upper Modelling Layer' should be designed in particular with the track layout are appreciated. Looking forward to be working on this for a few years

Hi DD, Is there any update on these, I have both a B'Day and Chrimbo coming up and the BLue Grey Network Rail would be a perfect present

Mine finally arrived and I couldn't be happier . I have to say the tooling is out standing and the weight feels sturdy. I too am looking forward the blue and greynetwork rail version, I just hope production in China gets cracking on them

If it is the 24th that they hit the shops that could not be better timing for my wallet as it's payday! Seems I've been waiting for these for an absolute age but I'm very sure the wait will have been worth it

This is excellent news DD. My wallet is bursting with anticipation , I do hope you have a good holiday. Cheers Craig P.S. You mentioned earlier in the thread that the turn-around for the later liveries would be 6-8 weeks after each previous batch, with the delays is this still the case or can it be expected to take longer i.e. 10weeks?
  7. Hey Charlie, just out of interest when do you expect the 2nd sample to arrive? Will you post pics of the updates? Cheers Craig

Hi Dave, Shame to hear that your supplier has let you down, but it's better to have them right rather than not at all. Glad to read that the Metronet livery will be available, makes me happy - but as I'm modelling a Network rail depot the extra numbering on a yellow NR set is also an added bonus. Definitely keep up the good work Cheers Craig

Agreed that could be a good option - I think with the time spent getting the model right as they appear Dapol would be missing out if they didnt provide more liveries or runningnumbers in future. Still the first ones have to arrive yet

Thanks Dave, good to know they are on the way. I've noticed the Metronet livery s marked as provincially. Havingpurchased the Model Rail metronet branded 66 I'd very much like to see that livery produced, but of course I guess sale-ability would dictate the 4th set. Have you made the final decision on that set?
