So basically you pays your money and makes your choice as all will work.

I think my choice will be similar to option 1 but with the switches id'ed on a condensed track plan with the switches numbered below it.

Hello Andy what are the prime advantages for you of each system?

I favour a track plan schematic with point switch numbers imbedded onto it with switches or push buttons correspondingly numbered underneath the plan.

The plan will also have Leds displaying to show the live route selected, but am i missing something?

When you are satisfied with the 4mm trial I'm hoping that to make a 7mm one would be just a scale change and the CAD FILES would automatically scale up, I could be interested in one. 

I understand you are more into wanting this for a portfolio of useful items for your on-going 7mm stuff.

Great work G and if you get to the "ready to print" stage I'll take one if the price is right to give you some additional incentive.

I think Shapeways will take your files and print them for you if you just wanted to see how your art work turned out.

I believe the smoothness if the finished product is down to the quality of the [?plastic toner?] layered down, some can be quite crude in their finish but my knowledge is quite vague on this.

I'm trying to drag myself into the Diesel era but I haven't settled on which.  It will probably come down to sound as the 37 is a real beast and I do like the whistle of the 20, maybe rule1 will have to apply.

That's a very interesting read Stevey and I have now marked it down to follow.

I model in 0 gauge [very slowly] but like you my interest is in shunting and I'm trying to squeeze an interesting shunter plank layout into about 10ft.

I mentioned a some while ago about your method for covering up gaps at the board joins, something I'm interested in.  Have you shown the "cut" and join or is that still to be done?

I can see you have paper taped over and glued down but it doesn't look like you have cut through yet.

Those figures look very good I'll be looking them up their paint finish is tasty.

I think you will be impressed with the Sig na track Dcc control I found it very intuitive particularly after previously using Lenz with its Anglo-Fritz spraken manuals.

Hello Andy, you are being a busy busy boy, but it is coming together nicely.

I'm interested in how you say you will conceal the gap between the base boards using masking tape and glue.

I notice you use a pritstik to mount the platform edging.  I find that pritstik drys out and allows the card to pop off at least when I use it, it tends too. 

How about you am I missing out a step?

Hello WRT you're absolutely correct about the pin sharpness of the front if that's your need then a very tight depth of field is what you want.

No need for apologises though as my taste is coloured by 26 years working for Kodak which has clearly left its mark on me.  

As they say rule 1 always applies.

Currently though I’m trying to decide whether to order a Heljan 03! -- GO GO GO FOR IT.

What are you using to take your photos?  The reason I ask is that your depth of field setting looks a little narrow eg while the front of your loco is crisp from about 1/2 way back is has gone blurred..

Probably best to update here with my post off PeterBB so this is in sync, this is what I wrote there.

Hello Peter that's rather spooky as after a rather lazy period ignoring my railway and concentrating on some gardening and replacing the whirly-gig for the washing that had blown over for a change of work I was today getting to grips with the wiring set up. 

I sorted out all the plug and play leads I need so I can order up and try them all out,  fortunately 4 of the 5 points are on the middle of 3 boards and the single is on the 3rd board so with the drop down pcb panel fitting under the middle board I should soon be active and be live.

Hello T158M Dawes road is 11ft long by 2ft wide to include the fiddle area, you get a lot of reward for your effort.

Is the new e-bike belt driven, can't see any derailleur gearing.  My new one not yet here is also belt driven single gearing.

After watching #3 video I had to flip back to listen to the background music which I hadn't noticed, if it is still playing that is.

Some times I do watch your videos in 5 min bursts unless I've got my cup of tea 'andy.   For me MORE  short 5 min Videos on specific topics would work well.

Yes as I'm only a 15 min drive away I'll be there but I'm a little scared about the number of like souls who will turn out all equally starved of of "Show" enjoyment,  Knowing the building layout well it could get a little crowded which could see them shutting the doors.  As you know there isn't much of a carpark there but there is a carpark back up the hill about 1/2 mile which while not a problem coming down is a bit of a slog going back.

I'll park up at Bewdley station and train up to Highley then walk over the track to the Engine House.

Probably going on the Sunday but may have to juggle the days as my sister will be visiting that weekend from the Isle of Seil Scotland.

oooops just realised with your starting the 3rd Video that I don't remember the 1st one so back I go.................... for a rerun or a first watch.
