  1. No not yet George apart from dry fitting some random cut pieces just playing and getting the feel of the material..

I've been going for e-bike rides recently and planning on a new purchase after seeing BGmans e-bike interspersed with plenty of gardening but not much modelling if any.

  3. Thanks for the back story on your e-bike BGman.

Who are the contacts in the UK that you dealt with?.  I can see that Amazon sold the original Cevi/Revi rolling units but not sure they are legal in the UK as they are 750WAtt but if nobody knows You're ok I suppose.   Same with the road speed max here on the UK is 15mph but that bike is specked at 28mph.

I must say it does look a beast I'd be obliged if you could PM me who I can contact to make some enquiries too as I fancy a build up.

    Cheers

  4. Hello BG,  I too have an e-bike a Cube Acid which is very like your first bike you show on here above.

I do like your new E-bike, what is i, I can't see a name.  Mines a pedal assist bike is yours similar as it does look quite chunky.

  5. Back to changing over the point control to surface mount DCC Concepts SS point motors.  Strip out the old push-me-pull-me wire in tube operating Blue point actuator parts.

Now to wire up the hinge down PCB control board once I've cut out wire entry/exit holes.

Each PCB controls 2 point motors.

  6. Spooky, I've been storing my stock in plastic cracker boxes but recently purchased some adjustable [break to length] drawer divides.  Just now looking for a more suitable size box wood or plastic to make up my store trays.

Not felt covered but good enough for me.

PS -- I used to use a "slip tube" to overcome minimum throw issues from servos on my RC aircraft throttles.

I use 2 pieces of piano wire 1 piece to the servo the other to the throttle linkage.  Then the 2 unconnected ends were slipped inside a small piece of silicone fuel tube and along side each other.

Operation was as follows:- the servo moved and the throttle arm moved as the wire was gripped by the tube. When the throttle reached its stop the servo kept pushing and the wires slid past one another with no movement to the throttle link.

Then when moving the servo back the throttle instantly moved the throttle arm because of the tube grip and would slip again when fully the other way.

The main advantage of this system was that there was no dwell times when changing direction of throw and it was self adjusting.......... might be useful someday. :dancing::swoon:
