  1. Hi legomanbiffo What an outstanding set of sounds you have created there. How long have you being programming? I really like the voyager with 2 decoders and 4 speakers, very impressive. Are they slightly out of sinc? Brilliant job! Mind you I only have footage to compare against as I have never seen or heard any of these in the flesh. I think the sound of the 25 has being well captured and you make an excellent point on your inertia setting. Agree it usually is totally ignored and this shows the effect of a well set up loco. I am still in 2 camps about the bass reflex so I have decided to buy a couple and trial on diesels. I just cannot see how a small speaker with a hole in it can preform better than a sealed speaker. So far I have only conducted my tests on steam. What can I say totally enjoyed listening to all your projects, you have a beautiful realistic layout, and I can see the effort that has gone in to your sound projects and again the layout. Well done and looking forward to the next lot. Cheers Martin
  2. Hi Well said! I have 2 lov em, Bachmann have done a great job! Cant be bothered looking for the faults pointed out, because I dont care. m
  3. Hi Well I think that is a great idea and I will put my hand up to buy some kits from you. What coaches are you thinking of doing? I would love some art deco backgrounds for my Pullmans. I paint all the interior of my coaches add passengers, lights etc but this would make my life a lot easier. Great idea and I will watch with interest your developments. Best of luck on your project. Martin
  4. Hi The coal load cannot be removed it is molded into the tender. No smoke box detail, that was also asked....thats fine by me I would have only cut it out anyway. My only minor complaint is access to the screw under the axle to the rear of the tender. All in all a top model very pleased with it. Well done Bachmann. I completely stripped it down today for major works and it comes apart nicely. Had to remove the smoke box door I was lucky as not much glue was used. m
  5. I think Tornado will be one of the biggest projects I tackle this year. Don't want to let the cat out of the bag just yet but it should be interesting if I can pull it off. m
  6. Hi I have to 99% agree with DWhites4dcc statement. A well sealed 23mm or 20x40mm ESU speaker in my opinion will do a better job. I take it one step further and use epoxies and have started building some of my housings out of composites such as carbon fibre. Pretend their is a poisonous gas in there, that's how well it needs to be sealed! Housing must also have 0 movement. I tried the reflex speakers and I was not happy with them simple as that. It may be a different story with Diesel locos, I just dont know. Know how you feel.... certain members are very opinionated on this subject and seem to have some agenda to push. Maybe it is time we had a topic on speakers. Merry Christmas to all. Martin
  7. Very nice I have ordered a couple of these. Now can anyone tell me what type of whistle it was fitted with a BR or chime whistle. Is their any documentation for the type of whistle used? Thanks Martin
