  1. As a regular customer of Wetherspoons [ just for the coffee you understand ]. I have a large haul of these stirrers. [well and the odd pint of cider ] I have now been to 455 different Wetherspoons.! Keith.
  2. I had felt that there was enough cafe's in Teignmouth. My favourite for a Mug of tea and a snack is the East Cliff Cafe near the railway walkway. Excellent price's, excellent very friendly and happy owner and staff and of course a excellent view. Keith.
  3. Exactly, a good English word stolen by a minority group. Keith.
  4. Yes, very good week. To be fair I have allways found most retail price's in Teignmouth to be very reasonable, this shop seems to be an exception. We noted the price of their coffee and latte so we did not partake. How long as the business been open, can not remember seeing it before.? Keith.
  5. Is that " GAY'S". If so yes, it is always one of our first port of calls in Dawlish. I have allways thought that it is a very unfortunate name for a really fantastic shop. Keith.
  6. Anyone know the identity of the pair of class 57s that passed Dawlish last week-end [5th/6th April] Keith.
  7. Yes, thank-you Commodore, great time with the Grandsons [and wife and daughter].Plenty of trains and pastys Keith
  8. Ok, I have tried one of their pasty's as I promised a few weeks ago. Pasty's very good, but sorry to say let down by availability and higher than average price. I had to call in for five days before I could obtain one, none for sale until last Friday. Each visit was during the morning. They did seem exactly the same as those available from Ryder's bakery in Dawlish Warren, same size, same filling, I would say they originated from the same supplier. Only difference was that the ones in Teignmouth were £2.75, the ones in Ryder,s £2.00. I am also a Pasty connoiseur and my working life tied up with fresh foods. Keith.
  9. I can not answer any more at the moment as I am just leaving home for a week. Keith.
  10. A very rude and abrubt reply. I had not said anyone had said about locking it.!!! I do not keep clicking the disagree burtton.! Manners, dear boy, manners. Keith.
  11. Please keep this thread open. Say NO to locking it . I would have thought that there could be bits and bob's added to it over the next few weeks. Keith.
  12. It was in Teignmouth several years ago that a traffic warden booked a hearse and funeral cars outside a church.!! A real jobsworth. Keith.
  13. I know that the walkways around Teignmouth & Dawlish will still be closed for sometime so that the repairs can be completed, but how about from Dawlish Warren to the first footbridge, just past the camping coaches? Is that small part open or still closed.? Keith.
  14. I wonder how long it will be before some of those orange sticks of rock that are being given away, appear on Ebay. Keith.
  15. Brilliant work by everyone employed on the storm damage. I am in Dawlish Warren for a week as from tomorrow, in the camping coaches. Keith.
  16. Very sorry missy, no offence intended. I stand chastised and corrected. Regards, Keith.
  17. I had not realised that you held a Liberation Day.! Very well done, I am all in favour of Remembrance etc. No one should forget what happened during 1939-1945. Keith.
  18. Is Missy really a female, or someone having a laugh.?
  19. 6th of April for me, I will be down there then, for a week! :imsohappy: Keith.
  20. We had left just before 17:00. It was very cold there and my coffee flasks were empty.
  21. Thankyou, know where you mean. We are down there again in under two weeks, for a week in Dawlish Warren camping coaches. So will try their Pasties and let you know the verdict.! I spent all my working life out on the road selling Pasties among other fresh foods. Regards, Keith.
