  1. As long as you’ve ordered three identical wagons they will be sent together. Otherwise it will be £3.95 per wagon. I had a dispatch email about this order yesterday from CCL who seem to be the shipping partner for Hornby. So once you get that e-Mail you should have your wagons next day.
  2. I expect Railtec will have some transfers out for these soon. :)
  3. My ESSO tankers have arrived. Hornby are not combining pre-orders so everything is shipped separately (at £4 per package). Not ideal. The model is fantastic. Beautifully detailed, includes seperate air hoses, and very detailed under frame.
  4. I didn’t realise Hornby ever offered free postage except for on orders over £50? Did you have free postage on a lower value order?
  5. Sounds like you need a friendly UK based helper to combine everything into one package for shipping.
  6. I’ve ordered a few different models and sets direct from Hornby, it’s worked smoothly for me. What’s your bad experience with it?
  7. Esso wagons back in stock. About 40 of them available when I checked just now.
  8. Might be worth checking your bank statement , I haven’t received any e-mails from Hornby but they have taken payment and the orders are showing as ‘processing’ on my Hornby TT account summary so the preorder seems to be going through.
  9. Could be Les, although they have seemingly shipped an almost equal number of each livery so this may have been the whole of the initial run?
  10. I don’t remember if all of those sold out, but for me the impressive thing about the TAA wagons is that they’ve sold out in less than 48hrs. I don’t think any of the other releases have done that? Although maybe the Arnold container wagons had a similar sell through? Certainly they were quick to go out of stock too. How does this compare to the OO releases? Do those sell out like this at launch?
  11. All the TAA tankers are showing as sold out now. Will be interesting to see if there are any restocks once they are back to work on Monday. Certainly an impressive debut for these wagons.
  12. It’s a good point, the preorders might be ahead of an expected loco like the class 37 or similar. The mobil tank wagon is still listed but it’s been out of stock for months. The Hornby website seems to have changed to show ‘in stock’ as the default. If you uncheck that option the Mobil wagon is still there at the very end of the list.
  13. Is there anything in the current range that would pull these in block trains? It feels like we are still a bit of a way from the stage where there would be a need for bulk buying of these tankers? They are lovely models but it feel like a stretch to imagine bulk purchases of them yet?
  14. Looking forward to seeing those tank wagons in the flesh.
  15. Garrys backdated 08’s look great. Those differences of hinge and door edges are so minor it’s really not worth worrying about it imo :)
  16. A green Class 08 will be very welcome. I’d been hoping for one.
  17. If I recall correctly, the Mobil tank wagons were sold out before the TT range was released to shops? So it’s not surprising that stores wouldn’t have any. How many were you looking to pick up?
  18. It might be that Les, although there were some new items listed in the Arnold 2024 catalogue so it’s hard to know for sure. We shall see what’s announced later in the year I guess.
  19. I’ve seen this theory mentioned before and it makes a lot of sense. The sets used up the production slots originally intended for phase 2,3 & 4. April will be the test of this theory. If there are firm release dates for the remaining locos (Class 31,37,47 etc) and the prices remain at current levels then I suspect all will be forgiven, especially if those much needed tank engines are part of the 2024 lineup. Certainly with 10,000 plus sets purchased already there must be a good demand built up for the diversity of those later phases, and nobody can deny it’s been a very successful launch.
  20. Yes it’s exactly this. Hornby and Arnold are doing their own badge versions but it’s a co-development, they are separate SKUs so UK one releases as Hornby and the European one with Euro liveries and details will be Arnold branded on the base of the fuel tank, in Arnold packaging and sold via the Arnold website. Therefore there is nothing preventing the announcement of the Arnold version and it is odd that it has not been featured in the 2024 range catalogue despite being shown in the Hornby TT blog update nearly two months ago?
  21. The Arnold version is a different model. It’s been shown in the ‘parts samples’ pictures as part of the TT updates. The Arnold model has Arnold branding on the fuel tank and European details like the large box aircon and different roof horns etc. It’s not just a different livery on the Hornby model, it will be an Arnold product. The Hornby one is announced already and will be released this spring, so there doesn’t appear to be any reason to hold back on announcing the Arnold version unless it’s delayed until 2025?
  22. New liveries for the container wagon look good. Strange there is no mention of the Arnold Class 66? Perhaps it’s slipped to 2025? There was supposed to be an Arnold Class 65 set with three container wagons releasing this year.
  23. Everyone is different I guess, but for me the Hornby website seems very easy to navigate? There is even a button specifically for TT1:120 in the home page that leads directly to the aforementioned magazine, blog and store.
  24. Hopefully April will be an interesting month for TT. I’m looking forward to seeing more info on the tank engines and the Class 37. Hoping for some blue and grey MK1s too. It does feel like Hornby have had TT in a holding pattern for the past six months or so. Perhaps due to the unexpected sales levels for the Scotsman and Easterner sets? I think someone pointed out the re-runs of those sets to fulfill the demand meant using the production slots intended for other items in the range, so the delays are a result of the successful launch. Certainly makes sense as an explanation for the slow roll out of Phase 2 models.
