A while back, I too received a second-hand Schools (907 Dulwich) bubble-wrapped in only its Hornby outer box. Although a number of parts were detached, none of them was actually broken (as appears to be the case in your photographs). Although Royal Mail should undoubtedly have taken better care, part of the problem would seem to be the strength (or lack of it) of Hornby's (China) assembly process? Tony

A disc version would be great goodness! I also had assumed originally that the plain green version would have disc headcodes. I accepted the compromise of headcode boxes, but boxes plus syp is a bridge too far for my purposes. My pre-order (June 2009!) has therefore been cancelled. If Dapol do produce a plain green/disc version they might have a customer back. Meanwhile I've ordered an extra Bachmann 45xx to cover the duty. Tony

November??!! Two months ago, Dapol were telling me they thought it would be, "...in the shops in around 8 weeks time". I'm sure they will want to meet the pre-Christmas market; the only question is, which Christmas? ncornwall60

Had an email from Dave Jones (Dapol) last Friday saying, '...in the shops in around 8 weeks time'. So maybe they have stopped tweaking?? NC60
