  7. I believe it ties in with the first gm variant aka 59001 was fitted with one, so they fitted one to the last ever built version aka 66779 is what ive heard

  12. received my br blue one today and it also runs slow and I run dc and use one controller for 2 lines and 40 looks nice plodding round with 21 tta tanks and then my 37s on passenger look like a express train going full thrash =)
  13. i recieved my replacement bodyshells for 68001 n 68005 today and i only posted them back last thursday and returned in the plastic inners n cardboard boxes . Well done to Dapol and dcc supplies in correcting the livery error and how fast they dispatch them back.

  18. if anybody wants a version of the drs livery 68002 or 68005 - r3resprays have them in stock , they had been holding some back
  19. only 3 ive just ordered 68001 taking me to no 4 =)
  20. the detailing pack supplied with both my models only contains a nem socket and coupling and a skirt with the recess for the nem socket to move
  21. in regards to the error, it did not put me off purchasing the loco and end of the day you only see one side of the loco at a time and today i purchased my 2nd drs one so i now have 68002 and 68005 and ill just have them the same way round as each other and you will never tell that way. Dapol may have made a small error with the swoosh but the end of the day they have produced a craking loco with exellent detail and good running etc and this modern world likes picking faults and it could be a lot worse than it is , it could have been vitrains / lima who produced it not Dapol
  22. apart from the printing error on one side on the drs livery ones , its a grand model and its well heavey and it will pull a good load since it pushed a switched of Bachmann 57 with no issues and my layouts only 5 foot back to back so no stock to test haulage sorry
  23. Rieceved my 68005 today and my nameplates were straight, the yellow ends were spot on and no bad fitting parts, the wire inside what was mentioned the other day is enamel coated wire and exellent runner and the lights are not to bright like certain other manafactures . The only issue is the swoosh appears correct on one side and flip the model over and its to much one way leaving the other cab swoosh free and looking at class 68 photos i have in collection it and upon cheching no1 and no 2 ends of the photographs , the printing is out on one side. This may have been done by the repositioning of the compass logo on the side if they have used the same for both sides and the grills etc been on the opersite end when turned round putting the swoosh out of alignement with the other side. Apart from that swoosh error its a nice model and nice and heavey and my only real issue is it does not come with a additional full skirt or full pipes on the end the coupling is attached , it has cut pipes and cut away valance to get round the nem socket. aprt from a few school boy errors i can live with it and Dapol have done a great job and may be they will re issue replacement bodys for this major error on the swoosh.
