A very Happy Christmas to all on here. For those who like a fine Christmas carol:

I had my final event with my secondary school tonight, the presentation evening. I was very surprised and happy when I got a Cup, a cup for endeavour named after an old Head teacher and an award for resistant material work. Overall a great evening but rather sad that I won't see a lot of those people again (some of them I'm not that sad about)

I feel we need take a moments reflective pause for my brother. The nobel man has bravely volunteered his time to perform a sadly necessary task. He is due to sacrifice his family night by camping on his local playing field......to guard the village fete beer which has been delivered early....did anyone do a stock take?

Saw Steve Cropper performing a Stax Records back catalogue set with the Animals as his backing band last night at the Ramsbottom Festival. Booker T, Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding, marvelous music. And where else can you go to a fest on a steam train!!
