I got my head stuck in the scrap metal bin at work today. This happens from time to time, but today I came out with a reel of 0.3mm tungsten wire. Ideal rodding for semaphore signals. Result!
Actually, the 0.3mm wire I think is now molybdenum. I also got some gold coloured wire - very thin and strong - labelled "W 0.05 99.95" = tungsten. And some "purple" coloured wire??
All are "end of reels" with about a metre or so left on them.
