  1. Beauty! That has done the trick! Thank you so much!
  2. Hello! Is anyone able to help me with some DCC trouble? I have this locomotive fitted with a Zen Blue Next18 decoder. It does this little spurt on startup in either direction. The issue doesn’t occur on DC with no chip plugged in. I’m pretty new to DCC but am happy to fiddle with CVs.
  3. That’s very cool. Shame there is no 4 wheel coach though.
  4. Is this kit a good one or the best one for a 4mm or OO gauge W&U coach? http://eveleighcreations.com/great-eastern-rly-tram-coaches/ or are there other options I should look at? thank you.
  5. That is very cool. Thanks. This stop of buffer, was it purely a GWR thing?
  6. Yes that is what I mean. Shows my level of ignorance. I assumed it was coal. I did wonder what it was filled with. And I really didn’t know what to call them. I feel a bit silly!
  7. Hi folks. Does anyone have some real world pics of coal buffer stops? Google hasn’t been particularly helpful or my googling skills are just rubbish! I want to have a go at scratch building a couple. Thank you in advance.
  8. Ah that's really good to know. Thanks so much. These motors will also be mounted to ply. Yeah a bit annoyed about the shop as basically no one stocks the motors in NZ and this was the first time I used them. Will need to look further afield. Thanks John and Andrew for the help and info! Really appreciate it.
  9. Hi I have just gotten back in to modelling after nearly 10 years! Thought I'd start small with an inglenook layout and install a couple of Tortoise point motors. A couple of days ago I receive said motors and one of them was broken in the box. The corner where it gets mounted is busted off. Model shop hasn't replied to my emails about it so was wondering how big of deal is it with a broken corner? Would I still be able to mount it and would the motor run fine? Could I just mount it with 3 screws? Am I making a big deal over nothing?
