  1. Hi all, A couple of you good folks have asked about the bogies and wheel sets, bogies take other gauge wheels, ie EM/P4. Hope this helps. Regards Paul
  2. Hi, By all means, I will get back to you as soon as I can. Regards Paul
  3. Hi Mike, I'm not an expert, but I would say yes. The E1/ts of my model are the exact size of the Rapido E train model. I will post some photos of the under frame when I get home from work, so you can all see what space there is. Regards Paul
  4. Hi John. Yes, the model includes the bogies and wheels, and yes they are the normal 26mm, the wheelsets are actually held via a centre support frame so various sizes could be used. I would have to enquire about the postage costs to Australia, I will get back to you on that as soon as I can. Regards Paul
  5. I will email you with a ticket number, first come , first served . Price is £68 with delivery. Please note , no decals are going to be supplied , but all you really need are PC3 and 4 labels which are shown on the drawings being supplied. Regards Paul
  6. Hi , Thanks for the support. As said previous, if running testing goes ok, might be able to open the pre-order book next week sometime. Regards Paul

  8. A few more pictures..................... Gonna do a few running tests on my test track, if all goes ok, will open the order book, lol. Regards Paul
  9. Hi All, A little later than promised, but here is prototype 7 completed, minus the HK brake pipes which I forgot to fit lol. The white flecks on some of the photos, are the black PLA catching the light, not a rough finish. I am pretty happy with it, looks the biz next to E train. Any feedback welcome. Regards Paul
  10. Hi Darren, bit of a typo on that last message, should have said off RMWeb LOL. My email is paul@apt-e.org Thanks Paul
  11. Hi All, Not much progress this week, work gets in the way of better things, but presently working on Prototype 7 both in 00 and N, so keep the faith.................... When the time comes I am going to get interested parties to email me off web, and I will reply with your ticket number, hope that's fare to everyone interested. Please remember that these are being made to order. Will post some updates by the weekend. Regards Paul
  12. I spent the day learning to drive a class 31, it was great stuff well recommended. Paul
  13. Hi, Used black PLA just as it what I had in, going to use grey for the production versions, although I do like it in black, will post some pics when the next prototype is ready. As for payment, was going to issue a queue number, so you only pay when your model kit is ready for posting. I was thinking of using paypal, something I need to look into further. Going to put a section of the website (www.apt-e.org) so everyone knows which kit I am currently working on. Regards Paul
  14. Hi all, Not much of an update this week as I have been away driving on the Great Central Railway, but before I left I started work on the cab interiors, new coupler and lowered the ride height a few mm. More progress tomorrow with a bit of luck as I can work all day on the model. Watch this space. Oh, prototype 7 is now under construction using black PLA, very striking. Regards Paul
  15. Hi Bob, Keep an eye on here for progress reports, and thanks for your support. Regards Paul Hi Bruce, Thanks for your support, I will keep you all posted as to progress. Regards Paul
  16. Hi Darren, Thanks for the interest in the model, the answer to your question is "YES", very much so, along with HSFV1 and Lab 4 Hastings. All updates with be posted on here, so keep an eye on progress, been working on the base and the lattice work the past few days, so POP one is nearly there. Regards Paul
  17. If I can get the pivot gear to fit ok under the frame, I don't see why not.......
  18. Hi All, A quick update on the work done this week. 1.Bulkheads reduced in thickness, test printed fine. 2. Redesigned small VIP area in PC3, and made it easier to construct. 3. Corrected bulkhead positions. 4. Corrected window sizes and positions, on side panels and PC3 VIP bulkhead. Still to do.......... See how thin I can make the framework, but keep it strong enough to be handled. HK brakes pipes to add to bogies. Make internal details for large cabins and small VIP area. Its getting there.........................
  19. POP was tested on the WCML, there is the reason you need lol. Thanks for the kind works.
  20. POP means POWER - 0 - POWER. Its two mock powercars with nothing between them hence POP.
  21. A quick update, prototype E1/t bogies well on the way now. I am looking for 10.5 mm wheels, at present I am using Hornby 12.5mm disc wheels which look ok, but not perfect. Paul
  22. A host of locos pulled POP train, mainline, class 25,37, 45,50 and class 87001. On the test track it was the Class 17 Clayton (including smoke and fire most of the time).
  23. PC 4 under construction, second draft. Both cars could do with thinner bulkheads and framework, if it can be printed strong enough, Im working on it..... Cabins need internal details, tilt pack, HK brake pack, seats and table.
