  1. Fran, thanks very much for this news. It has enabled some decision making - not going on the alternative route. I am sure they will be worth the wait 🙂
  2. It would be great of Accurascale were to do another production run of the Caledonian sleepers. They were sold out so quickly, and I have found something to go with my 92 (video below), but the coaches must still be in demand. Quite a few are coming up on Ebay right now at big mark ups. Do these people know something such as 'off load them before an announcement'. Of course, the very slightest of improvements would be welcome. The lighting could have random illumination in some of the sleeper compartments (right now sleeper lighting is only in the corridors).
  3. For the sound list I took a photo and printed on photo paper as this needs to be done when adding a decoder / speaker to a DCC ready model. Note that when I purchased the factory version from Roads and Rails the functions F11 and F27 had been reversed. That is compressor on F27 and multiple working on F11.
  4. Just managed to get this from the Accurascale web site - there was only one when I looked. Seems a few 37s are turning up from somewhere 🙂 With 31285 on order, plus this scratch built optical structure gauging wagon and now 97301 it makes this formation possible. Thanks to '37409' for the video.
  5. Check for a glue spot on a wheel surface. Was occasional problem wth Acc 37s.
  6. Thanks. I will delete my post in case of trouble / confusion
  7. Might be worth checking the back to back.
  8. It might be worth giving Cavalex a shout to see if they can help.
  9. Looking forward to the demo at Doncaster. I am suprised there is room for two speakers even though they are smaller than the Cavalex factory fitted.
  10. Nor me, but I would like an uodate on the 30 sound project as still have a 30 without sound on order as well.
  11. With little upgrades, such as resized speaker socket because of naughty ESU 🙂
  12. It goes to show how each of the different diesel engines and ancillary sounds are best represented by tailored decoder sound files / speaker set ups. It is not a case of one size fits all. Clearly the new ESU passive radiator speaker suits the 56, whereas when watching a video sound comparison of Accurascale 37s by Richard of R & R, the EM1 / Accurathrash came out better than the new ESU speaker. I am still debating the need to remove the sugar cube on the ACC 37 as I needed to reduce volume anyway to best match my room size. Speaker technology has really come on in recent years, and now with ESU facility for treble and base tuning we are getting HiFi on wheels.
  13. 'Plug and play' - with solder - no problemo.
  14. Thanks for info. Ordered the Cavalex sound files decoder from R & R. Having already one factory fitted sound 56, I knew what I would be getting 🙂 Had to go elswhere for the speaker as in big demand I guess.
  15. If I am correct, my understanding is that a sound decoder with factory sound files will become available at some stage. I am sure that those who were not quick enough with the models already sound fitted will be welcoming this. Roads and rails are offering this already, however the ESU passive radiator speaker may be out of stock (for now). There is an alternative offering from DC Kits, which has been developed specifically for the Cavalex 56. This appears to have covered most of the existing functionality of the factory sound project, in particular the lighting options, but with differences leaning towards their usual format. Has anyone gone down the DC Kits route? I would be intersted to know how the sound project compares.
  16. I don't see any retailers in Romania!?
  17. Oh dear - just placed second order with you guys. Hopefully the sound decoders won't be too long.
  18. That's great to hear as I have waited too long to order a second sound version. Can I assume that the ESU speaker will also be available at the same time?
