Rails have had a stock boost in their DC ones including the twin pack, maybe unpaid for pre orders?

Yes, still plenty of DCC Ready at Rails and Ultimate. I will wait to see what the Cavalex sound package comes up with before upgrading 56120 that I've just ordered.

It is already included in the booklet and on the quick ref card in the box.

Yes, I had the quick ref card for the sound fitted (my first 56 purchase).

I had to settle for a DCC ready for a second 56 (too slow). That box did not have the card so on upgrading to sound, I copied the first one and printed onto photo paper. I know the info is in the booklet, but it would be handy to have the ref card in all boxes.

We are currently working on an all in one plug and play upgrade kit with Cavalex Loksound V5 and ESU Speaker in one package. If you can wait a tad longer they will be available to purchase soon.

Excellent news. It would be useful if the card showing the function list was included in the package, or perhaps a download reference from the web site.

    Hi @zr2498,

I can confirm that there will be another run of the Mark 5s in the future, particularly the sleepers.

    Cheers!

Fran, thanks very much for this news. It has enabled some decision making - not going on the alternative route. I am sure they will be worth the wait 🙂

Maybe a decoder to correctly operate the lights etc as well. Would be a nice surprise in light of the mention several months ago of a 'fix'.
not being picky but it would be good for Accurascale to sort something on this on particularly if they do another smaller production run. 🙏👍👍

It would be great of Accurascale were to do another production run of the Caledonian sleepers. They were sold out so quickly, and I have found something to go with my 92 (video below), but the coaches must still be in demand. Quite a few are coming up on Ebay right now at big mark ups. Do these people know something such as 'off load them before an announcement'.

Of course, the very slightest of improvements would be welcome. The lighting could have random illumination in some of the sleeper compartments (right now sleeper lighting is only in the corridors).

Is there an online/digital version of the function list at all? Taking my pair to an exhibition at the weekend and need to add the functions to our operators booklet!

For the sound list I took a photo and printed on photo paper as this needs to be done when adding a decoder / speaker to a DCC ready model.

Note that when I purchased the factory version from Roads and Rails the functions F11 and F27 had been reversed.

That is compressor on F27 and multiple working on F11.

  7. Just managed to get this from the Accurascale web site - there was only one when I looked.

Seems a few 37s are turning up from somewhere 🙂

Well, I caved and got a Colas one that turned up today.

One issue, there seems to be a bit of a thumping type sound from the inner axle of the number 2 end bogie while its running on a rolling road (actual track test will need to wait till tomorrow).

Its very odd, if i remove the rolling road cradle from that axle the sound goes away.

Have checked the bogie towers and they seem clipped on securely.

Anything else easy to check? Would rather not have to return it as I think I got pretty much the last one.

Check for a glue spot on a wheel surface. Was occasional problem wth Acc 37s.

Whilst I would love to take the credit, it’s John, Matt and Mark who are working at the shop and provide the great service!

I was busy talking to a Japanese delegation about payment systems integration at the time…

    I hope it wasn't Fujitsu!

    I think you'll need 10 outputs. Originally I thought it was 8 but forgot about the fans (2off). So the outputs would be 1 x Tail lights, 1 X Front lights, 1 X Head Light, 1 Cab Light - for each end. So that's 8 + 2 = 10.

I'm assuming all lights are independent given the switching options. I.e. Not on the same White / Yellow circuits.

Gutted my sound preorder has been cancelled and so far no mention of a refund just a message saying other retailers could help ?

It might be worth giving Cavalex a shout to see if they can help.

    In Parallel should be louder, IE 2 X 8Ohms = 4 Ohms.

Thats what I did in a Bachmann DMU last week, yesterday I did a Cavalex 56 with 2 EM'0' speakers at 4 Ohms wired in series and WOW.  What a noise.

Demoing thse this weekend at Doncaster & shortly at Glasgow & Preston

    ESU 50345 EM 0.webp

Looking forward to the demo at Doncaster. I am suprised there is room for two speakers even though they are smaller than the Cavalex factory fitted.

    Hi All,

Without getting to far ahead of ourselves, looking at the success of these loco’s I would of thought a second run would be inevitable.

Agree on ‘Wheatley’ 56,001 in Construction sub-sector livery plus a Dutch variant, a Transrail TG variant & a Transrail in Dutch livery too.

    Fingers crossed…..

With little upgrades, such as resized speaker socket because of naughty ESU 🙂
