Hi @charliepetty,
These look great - I am interested in at least a couple of these! Can you please confirm whether they only available through Realtrak Models and do you have to pay in full or can you pay a deposit?
In addition, does RT142-322 Class 142 Number 142 090 - Provincial come with ‘Network North West’ ‘NNW’ logos as in the photograph on the website?
Cheers,
Jim

Hi @Accurascale Fran are there any plans to reissue the Andrew Barclay driver and fireman crew? Cheers, Jim

Does anyone else's Bachmann 37 derail easily on second radius points and curve? I thought they were supposed to handle these?
Yes mine occasionally derails on curved points and slows down on second radius curves. It also makes a loud electrical (transformer-like) noise when running on DC.

I want some opinions ... which trackplan looks more realistic?
Two platform station (up and down), with goods loop adjacent to the back of the platform and four yard tracks:
Or three platform station (up, reversible, down), with the goods loop not adjacent to a platform and three yard tracks:
What I've laid so far could be either of these, so nothing is wasted if I change course at this point.
I'm thinking about this at the moment. While I love the two double junctions, the curved diamonds I have both face the same way, and they have also both had rails cut in the wrong place to the point where I'm concerned they'll fall apart when I cut the rails in the necessary places. I'd need to do some fairly extensive repairs on one (replacing at least one long section of rail, if not three) and effectively build the other from scratch using the existing one up-side-down as a template.
I would also like to use the single slip (which I have in stock) and is only in the three platform plan.I think the second one looks more realistic.

The orange cantrail stripe looks… yellow?

Thanks, though I mean the German prototype? Sorry if I was not clearer.

Amazing layout. The latest video blows my mind. What is the tightest radius? Jim

The VIX is a nice model, I am just a little disappointed that it doesn't quite have the same level of detail as a continental model of similar price, especially with Rapidos reputation for detail....
DB Van:
Separate details.....
Just much more finesse, compared to the much more coarse moulded detail on the VIX. The packaging is at another level too.
Out of interest what model is this?

I tried to order a rake of HAAs in the January sale and could never get the payment to go through. Accurascale could not give me a reason for the failure. The bank over here at the bottom of the world could find no record of a payment request, so I abandoned my attempt. That was on Mastercard as well.
I get that from time to time too. It is frustrating but you just need to keep trying and you will get through in the end.

Does anyone know whether the set in the new pack has the same running numbers as the set in the previously released train set?

According to Rails of Sheffield, the Western Pullman has arrived.
Is this the same model (running number) as the one produced previously?

Hi Martin, thanks. I wasn’t able to comment on the video as the comments were turned off. Cheers, Jim

Are there any plans for a three-way or tandem layout arrangement in bullhead?

Very nice. Unfortunately I live in Melbourne, Australia and even though I always check my emails first thing in the morning they had already been released and sold out by the time I had woken up and had my breakfast! 😂. @Accurascale Fran and @McCfor future releases it maybe worth considering how to cater for your loyal antipodean customers?!

I understand the shed later went to Dinting Railway Centre and later the ELR where it was dismantled and remains unused in pieces.

This last two weeks has been rather exciting in 142 Pre-Orders and the tables have been turned on the most popular ones, the current rankings are:
1st: Northern Midnight Blue.
2nd: Provincial Blue & White
3rd: Skipper Chocolate & Cream
4th: GMPTE Orange
PPS: People in Manchester 'must' be on Holiday !!!!
Charlie
I wonder how much the choice of destinations blinds come into it? The two GMPTE versions each with Manchester Victoria on one end. The GMPTE versions also operated on diagrams south of the city, into South Yorkshire and it would appear North Wales.

Hi Charlie, how easy will it be to change the destination blinds? I’m sure a lot of ‘northern’ modellers would like a Skipper too…! Cheers, Jim
