  1. Are you the Andy Peters from the Gresley mrc.Dave
  2. The photo on the cover is vertually the same as one of my photo on my Harz Flickr album. The locos in my photo were the two mallets doubleheaded.Dave
  3. Here's my photos from a 7 day photo charter in the first week of February 2015, lots of snow! The last day was up the Brocken mountain on a normal public day. https://www.flickr.com/photos/114678104@N04/albums/72157650883574751 Dave
  4. Thanks Paul This was taken whilst on holiday in June this year. The loco was being prepared for the 1pm train from Gernrode to Alexisbad. I also have the summer timetable with this loco pictured on the front. Here's the link to my photos taken at Gernrode this June. https://www.flickr.com/photos/114678104@N04/albums/72157669271219042 Dave

  7. Hi Castle I'm afraid I shall have to back out of this years visit as we are going to be in Canada again this year for the month of July. Maybe we can arrange our holidays better for next year! Dave
  8. Hi Castle Will you put me down for a place please Dave
  9. Sandy Having found that Machine Mart sell this model there is no mention of pressure control. Didn't you say you were able to spray at 10psi? This model also appears not to have a water trap, is that a problem? Dave
  10. Thanks Sandy, I had seen the post but couldn't make out the model. I'll check out to see if it's still available. Dave
  11. Thanks for the reply Sandy, can I ask which Clarke compressor you use, I have an old one but you can't adjust the pressure on it, yours sounds a much better choice. Dave
  12. Thanks Sandy I have read that PP take a long time to go off, have you found this to be the case? Dave
  13. Hi Sandy Which green paint did you use. I have a 64xx just about ready to spray. Dave
  14. Hi Kenton and all I had this discussion with the suppliers of the Springside Models a while ago, but was told that most of their kits are around 30years old, the designer is no longer with us and they (two brothers) don't have the capability to put any mistakes right. in either the kit or the instructions. But there are still selling kits! So you end up as I have with having to modify & scratch build to make the parts fit. (and how many times have we seen this said) Kada33 (Dave)
  15. Hi ozzy They also do a 4lb box of Citranox in white power that makes up to 52gals for £18.00, as I shall not not be using the US that often I take this would suffice for the time being. Having checked again on this item, it is £18 + P&P + Vat = £32.34! So for the time being I think I'll give this one a miss. Dave
  16. Thanks Ozzy I also meant to tell you me and my wife went to see ThinkFloyd last Thursday in Kings Lynn. It is 40years since the release of DSoTM so they played all the album plus lots of other works. Magic!! Dave
  17. Hi All Well my US arrived this morning, there's no point in me putting up a photo as the one Kev_Lewis listed is identical to mine. Question for Ozzy, where can I buy Citranox from in the UK it appears to be an American product? I've found Green Cillit Bang but not their red product? Also a general question, what temperature should the temperature be for spraying on grey cellulose primer. (outside shed) not indoors. Kada33 (Dave)
  18. Hi Mike I only model in O Gauge and you wouldn't get an O Gauge coach in it, whether an OO Gauge coach would fit maybe someone else could answer that one. I also meant to add yesterday that there is still one of these model (JPL 8050D-H) for sale on Ebay at £75. Dave
  19. Hi ozzyo I only ordered it late yesterday afternoon, so when it arrives I'll put up a photo . Dave
  20. Hi All I've finally got round to buying a US cleaner, I bought the JPL 8050D-H model off Ebay for £75 boxed and with the cleaning fluid, Bargin! I'm coming to the end of a Damo B kit that I've been building for some time, I used a RSU & solder cream so it needs a good clean so this will be the first victim. Dave
  21. In Ozzyo county topic he is up to page 64, and at the bottom left of his page you can only go back two pages at a time! If I wanted to goto page 30 or any other page I would have to goto his topic in Kitbuilding & Scratchbuilding and change the page number in the address line. Dave
  22. I'm also using FF and on the end of this page in the address bar after page-5 I have #entry/1156496 If I remove the #entry/1156496 I can then goto any page I choose. In IE there is nothing after the page number so that why that works. I have found that the extra bits in the address are when you are on a followed topic, when you are following a topic it automatically goes to the lastest entry and that's what the entry number is. So you can't jump to another page on a followed topic. So here endeth the lesson and now we can move on! Dave
  23. Hi Armin, I tried your method and it does goto any page but then goes back to the current page after about 5sec? dave
  24. Thanks to all I've now read all the previous 5 pages of posts which gives a lot of information to enable one on making a choice. I did speak to Sandy Harper & Bob Alderman at Telford yesterday mainly on what you can put in them i:e whitemetal? So for me it looks like the JPL 8050 will suit my needs as I only build small panniers and prairies and wagons. Question for Ozzyo, how can I goto any page in your topics say page 45 of the County build, with out going only one or two pages at a time. And I haven't found a way of searching just your topic. Dave
