I am interested in having sound fitted to a Heljan kestrel but only if if sounds decent. Any recommendations I imagine the speaker is the most important item.

Thank you for the information,I will have to decide whether to order these LEDs or send the loco to Howes to repair as i am worried the LEDs will blow again.

yES Yes they are LEDs,yes there is a resistor.

Thank you,i have checked the output to the lights which is 14volts so definitely the bulbs are all blown,what concerns me is how did they all blow.

I have tried the blanking plate and tested on DC unfortunately the lights still do not work.

I have had a Lenz chip fitted to a Heljan Kestrel loco,unfortunately non of the lights work.i did not test on DC before the chip was fitted to see if the lights worked. Any ideas what may be the problem?. Can i use Bachmann or Hornby blanking plate to test on DC?

Thank you,i rang Bachmann yesterday and purchased the last 2,shame as i needed 4 but at least in one direction they will be look good.

Drilled out and borrowed a complete screw from another loco,just need to find a new screw from somewhere now. -

Thanks Guy Sounds quite a job,do you think if I file of the thread leaving just the collar and then epoxy resin on to the loco would it take the strain of being the 2nd loco for double heading? -
Hi I have sheared a brass screw,must have cross threaded it how can i rectify.

Any recommendations please on who to fit a Bachmann Deltic with good sound and bass in 00 Gauge,now that the Merlin Legomanbiffo version with Earth buster is no longer available.

I have broken the wire of one of choke coils on a Bachmann Tornado chip mounting plate so the chip will not work,what do i do can i bypass this,i am not sure what this choke actually does.
