Do supermarkets in the UK make cash withdrawals at the check out, for free? It is actively encouraged in Australia, because otherwise they would have to pay a security mob, to take it away at a percentage fee.

Yes but only on a debit card, not a credit card - there's probably a maximum amount you can have (I don't recall ever using the option)

Maybe slightly but I’m not going to read too much into this. I have this happen on my layout sometimes if the couplings aren’t connected properly or if locos and wagons are different brands there can be a slight variation in coupling height.

Perhaps I made an incorrect assumption that the wagons were the A/S version

    Any suggestions very welcome!

    As per your request:

for the TPE coaches there's a breakdown of the locations for the clips holding the sides onto the chassis; there's nothing about this on the CS sheet (I'm guessing this is due to the fact there's no decoder option on the sleepers).

Is it safe to assume they're in the same places?

I'm asking as I've tried to remove a CS body to fix a loose part and haven't been able to manage it yet (I was looking for only 4 clips in total).

There's two small bumps on the coupling face. Filing these off will increase the coupling force. They are prototypical and represent the brake pipe connections on the real carriages, but get a bit in the way here.  Some people further up thread had problems with one of the magnets being the wrong way around causing a very weak coupling. Have you tried with a different coupling in the loco and/or the carriages in a different order? You could narrow down if it's one particular coupling causing the problem.

Thanks for the advice - will try out some of your suggestions

So this is the loco to rake connection that's going rather than between the carriages? Tension locks may just give you different problems... Which loco is causing the issues?

Accurascale Class 92038 - but as it doesn't get round the curve I can't tell if the link between coaches would also be an issue!

    3. The magnetic couplers are not strong enough for a train of 8 IMO.

Finally got to run my Aberdeen pack of 6 - and I can't get round a corner (4th radius) without the engine running off on its own. Is there a working solution, or do I just remove the magnetic things and replace with standard tension lock couplings?

Just on this one, there was indeed supposed to be mag coupling included in the set for the loco. The factory isnt fully up and running yet post Chinese New Year, but in the meantime if you email us support@accurascale.co.uk with your order number for TPE Mark 5s we will send you out a pack of the mag bar couplings.

Is this also true for the CS packs?

  8. So am I correct in saying (if I've understood the A/S map correctly)

the Lowlander sets of 16 split into 2 sets of 8 at Carstairs, one for Glasgow & one for Edinburgh - does this presume there will always be 2 engines on this?

the Highlander sets of 18 split at Edinburgh, with 8 going to Inverness, 6 going to Aberdeen & 4 to Fort William - again I presume the onward locos are stabled at Edinburgh? These are diesels as there is no OHLE going north?
