I`ve found it interesting to consider the research discussed in the news this week, concerning the abilities of Ovis to recognise human faces; an ability, well known to we dog people and also those with close personal experience of other species too; for, I`d assert that animals and humans share very-much in common; hopefulness, anxiety, affection, jealousy, loneliness, faithfulness, belonging and kinship.
.......and, if {like I} you`d ever visited an abattoir where pigs were being 'processed'; you`d surely know that animals can exhibit sentience........
It would seem that science is only now, beginning to catch up with what has been 'known' for millennia.
Failure to recognise animals as the unique, intelligent, and 'feeling' individual beings that they are, would seem to debase our 'humanimality' somewhat.
