  1. Did you buy the loco from UHWEBO, resprayed by Lees Locos?

    Kind regards

    J

UHWEBO, is a Zulu word, for either Trade or Houseboy.   No,it was someone else.

Anyway, a tad progress has been made with the can o peas for platform 2/3.

  2. Today, see's another, Can O' Pea being opened.

Platform 2/3 canopy has been dismantled and discarded, the base material was incorrect, plus it was 2mm too high, once I had received the "Freebs" built Platform 1.

  4. How about putting some similar looking low profile scale buildings in place of the photo ones, in front of the Castle bit?

    Kind regards

    J

    Roughly placed,last week.

Missing,is an extension to the brick wall to the low relief building, one of Richards lamp standards,

a low relief tree and low relief fencing to the bridge, all placed along that strip of platform.

Most of the items above, have yet to be made,by me.

  5. That back scene is looking really good!

Thanks Freebs your obs,are most appreciated.

Now, John at ID backscene s,has sent me a proof, after merging all photo sections,

He is going to delete the sky and put a new one in place, the white bits to take care of.

So,can anyone see anything out of proportion ?

    Aye up David.

WIll you be having some kind of back-scene behind Priory station or leaving it black?

I'm interested to see the overall effect but I prefer a light back-scene myself,

but I guess you know what you're doing.

  8. Aye up David. Any ideas why the tunnel mouth was painted yellow? It should make an interesting weathering project.

    Andy, Long time no see.

Click the photo, enlarge, you will see the brickwork is yellow stock.

Will put up some blackout pics when I finish.

Meanwhile, I found a rough copy,of  Priory backscene that" Runs as required" printed orff.

Am sending it to John at IDbackscenes,

he say would scan it,make it a whole and a few other tweeks, with his marvelous printing machine !

Like most other things,on the layout, these are just rough standing.

  9. I actually contacted them last week, and they confirmed that the open day is as advertised, I aim to be there at some stage of the day...

I might well see you there ! :-)

    Hello everyone,

I live literally two minutes down the road from the Windmill, and I used to attend Hastings MRC, but as I've moved back to Ashford, I figure I may as well turn up to it's club. It's better than putting up with evening TV all the time and will give me a chance to test drive some of my projects!

    Alexandra

    Waiting with baited ?
