  2. Hi - Ill double check this with Ticketmaster, but so long as you can print the barcode that will allow entry. You can normally access the code on your ticket orders

Hi Advance tickets from The Model Rail Scotland website are via post and this service closes 1 week prior to the show opening allowing Royal Mail enough time to deliver the tickets - we do have plans in place should any tickets not arrive via post and this is handled via our advance ticket Manager whom will deal with this issue should it arise prior to the show. We also have a option to use Ticketmaster where you can purchase and print your tickets using your home printer or use the QR code on your phone to gain entry - here is the link https://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/model-rail-scotland-tickets/artist/5368554 Ticketmaster tickets can be purchased up to show opening each day.   7. Massive thank you to @PreScoBus for running this very valuable service over the weekend. The popularity of this free service has grown over the last few years. This year we seen additional services and buses added to the route linking Glasgow city centre with the SEC Many thanks to all involved.
  8. Amazing feed back on this years show - its great to hear. Prior to the door opening Grant Thomson from Clyde 1 and Bauer Hits radio Network Scotland entertained the awaiting crowd in the foyer of the SEC – something that has become a regular slot pre – show opening. This Year Simon Kohler joined by Archie Brown had the honour of cutting the golden ribbon as part of the Hornby 100th year celebrations, this was later followed by a celebratory cake presented by Ian Porteous (Exhibition Manager) to Simon Kohler and Montana Hoeren Happy Birthday Hornby

  10. Revised Timetable due to road closures in Glasgow. The bus Stop in George Square is now Stop 6A outside Costa / George House. Vintage Bus timetables for 2020 - please note the times do vary each day - this is to offer an improved service at busy times based on how well this service has been used over the last few years. The event returns to the SEC venue in Glasgow, Grant Thomson from Clyde 1 and special guests will open the show at 10am on Friday 21st Feb Model Rail Scotland – 2020 will take place on Friday 21st , Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd February at Hall 3 of the Scottish Event Campus Glasgow and bring together over 50 model railway layouts representing a wide range scales and eras. The exhibition is ‘supported’ by Hornby Hobbies, Bachmann Europe, Peco and Squires Tools who will be present to show their latest range of products in addition a diverse range of trade exhibitors are participating accompanied by society and railway interest groups which will provide an excellent selection of exhibits for both the experienced and inexperienced in the hobby. A large number of layouts will be making either their first ever appearance at Model Rail Scotland or visiting a Scottish exhibition for their first time.

  20. Please make use of the Free Vintage bus linking Queen st, Central and the SEC. The bus stop on George Sq is the one beside Gregg's or diagonally opposite Weatherspoons - so some warm places to wait if you are early! At Central is the main bus Stops on Union Street on the side exit from Central Station
  21. A very limited number of Tunocks wagons in OO gauge have been reworked by Rainbow Railways from the Hornby box vans into a nice Tunnocks livery. Priced at £10 and will come with a Tunnocks Tea Cake available from stand 1

The club members who were involved in the programme will be available to answer questions from visitors about the layouts and their experience of being involved in the show. The layouts will be situated adjacent to the Peco stand which will also give visitors a chance to catch up with Steve Flint who along with Kathy Millatt was the ‘other’ judge on the show. To assists visitors a vintage Glasgow Corporation bus will operate a shuttle service between the Scottish Event Campus and the city centre collecting passengers at George Sq and Central Station. Detailed information on the daily timetable for this service will be published on the Model Rail Scotland website. Come along and enjoy one of the finest events in Model Railway exhibitions in the UK. The event Opening times are Friday 10:30am – 6pm, Saturday 10am – 6pm and Sunday 10:30am – 5pm. Advance ticket holders can enter 30 minutes prior to the official opening times.
