  1. Obviously trying for a Darwin Award, and failing.
  2. Aren't first-class cars supposed to have a yellow line at cantrail level?
  3. Thanks. So with luck I'll get it by Christmas.
  4. Has the delivery date changed again for the collectors' club H class? Today is the last day of March and i still haven't got mine.
  5. To be honest, I don't mind contributing to the costs of running this site. I have done that with some other sites I use; it seems a small price to pay for not being bothered by adverts.
  6. I've figured out what is happening. If I whitelist this site in AdBlock Plus, then I get "Share this post", but I get all the adverts as well. If I block all adverts then I don't get it. The same applies to the curved arrow at the right of the header to the quote(s) below it. I'm not happy, because I don't want to see adverts on my screen.
  7. Report Post changes from grey to black as the mouse moves into the post, but the arrow symbol does not appear
  8. That's not showing in my window. Maybe there's a setting somewhere I need to change.
  9. I'm sorry, but I can't see the share icon; at the top right of the post I just see "Report Post"
  10. 10,000,000 bytes / 1,024 bytes per kilobyte = 9765.625 kB which can be approximated as 9,770 kB or 9.77 MB. In my time I have seen some software doing that, and I'm wondering if that is what is happening here.
  11. It would be nice if Hugh Longworth told us which ones were left- or right-handed.
  12. Any chance of changing the 4-wheel Peckett to use a 6-pin decoder, to avoid me and other people having to solder one in?
  13. If it can't run in the US, could it run in Mexico, or central or south America?
  14. No, it's the Churchward version.
  15. Hornby say that their Prairie tooling suite allows for the 31XX variant also. [Collectors' club magazine, p. 6, top of third column. My copy arrived today.]
  16. My Hornby Collectors' Club magzine arrived this morning. On page 6, third column, it says It doesn't say when they are going to produce one, however.
  17. What are the chances of Bachmann announcing the South Wales coaches next week?
  18. Do we know how many pins the DCC chip is? I hope it's not another 4-pin jobbie.
  19. The compo in the 4-coach sets had the first-class compartments at one end of the coach, whereas that in the 5-coach sets had them in the middle. The coaches in these sets are D98 brakes and E131 compos. The 57' coaches in the Cardiff sets were D101 brakes, C56 thirds (later seconds) and E134 firsts. More information in Great Western Journal, No.5.
