  6. Phew! Well, that is how I feel after many adjustments to size and position of decal details, a last minute test print and more adjustments, a print out on a clear transfer sheet after a 'printing options' error(!),* and a final printout on the other end of the sheet. * The red lettering around 'The Prisoner' came out black - I had 'print page backgrounds' OFF! It simply came about because I had several 'grouped' items, so the red lettered 'groups' were deemed as 'page backgrounds' it seems. The 6s were images rather than type, which would explain why they stayed red. Tomorrow's job is to spray varnish the sheet ready for Monday, when I hope to start putting the decals on the bus. Feeling happier, again, but no more confident in what is still to come. Deep breath...
  7. I have just spent 9 minutes absorbed in more earth moving and found out how they get the boulders out of the ground. Music plays for the first 2mins.40secs, thereafter normal sound.
  8. ' afternoon all from red dragon land. After another foggy start to the day, it is chuckinitdarn. Hei, I do not have to go out watering the pot plants! Tess Coe's bakery sliced bread which had been arriving unsliced for several weeks turns out to be because their slicer broke down but it was only last week we found out. No mention of it on the order form. Also, for the last few weeks, click n collect have substituted wrapped seeded () bread and this week no bread at all as our usual bread seems to be mysteriously unavailable again! But we had put some counter measures in place - our favourite bakery in town. OK, basically the same type of bread, it costs more, has no palm oil, but tastes heaps better. So long as it is 'safe' to go into town, I think we will resume a regular supply. Time will tell. M word resumes today. I am having a go at printing my decals for the No.6 Prisoner bus onto the transfer sheet. Fingers crossed... Time to put kettle on, get lunch, then take a deep breath and tackle the M word. Fitt and Elfie a bit sluggish but just about keeping up. Take care all and play safe - don't get lost in the fog. _________ Best wishes Polly
  9. Don't think Welsh coal goes by rail anymore, but I could be wrong, not that there is a great deal of it these days. It is still available, delivered by lorry in sacks and bags. The Conwy Valley Museum Miniature Railway uses Welsh Steam Coal - at the moment, anyway.

  13. This morning the Iceland volcano excavator is still at it, adding more height. The weather is a lot clearer today so easier to see. Yesterday, I mentioned a second vehicle. Backtracking through the Live video, I was mistaken about seeing the second vehicle - probably due to smoke and poor definition - which would have been working on the far side of the wall. However, here is the second vehicle at work on the wall. AN excavator is also at work. And yet another new wall is under construction, this video getting up closer to the excavator. 16. Polly, it is. Now, could you forget? I have been looking for a 1:76 model of one of those 'Bobcats' as you call it - everything was/is? a 'JCB' to me whatever Type/Size/Make of machine it was/is. I will catch on one day. I did it with steam locos, and to a degree, diesel engines, and even wagons old and new, eventually. So, you never know, one day, I might know my backhoe from my right toe, and my bucket from my shovel! Looking at Wikipedia, it seems we know them by a different Trade Name! The LIMA looks quite impressive.
